About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Controller to join our Corporate Finance team. The Corporate Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls. This role involves corporate accounting functions, tax and internal controls as well as supporting strategic decision-making to drive the company's international growth and financial stability.
Some of what you will be doing
Financial reporting; ensuring reliable and timely financial statements are issued in accordance with group accounting policies. Functionally responsible for accounting. Operations in the subsidiaries and managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Income taxes; monitor timely tax filing and compliance across jurisdictions as well providing guidance and recommendations regarding group income taxation.
Internal and external controls and compliance, including coordinating the audits with the group auditor.
Drive strategic initiatives, collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies, and provide support to Laerdal companies.
Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
Who we envision would fit the role
We seek an experienced, proactive team player with 5–10 years' accounting and finance experience, ideally in a multinational company. A master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field and a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification are required. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of NRS/IFRS, regulatory requirements, and be proficient with ERP and accounting software.
You are a strategic thinker and can provide insightful analysis and drive informed decision-making.
You like to be in the details of daily operations and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong leadership and team management skills and have high attention to detail and accuracy. You will cooperate with our colleagues around the world, so cultural understanding and awareness are all important qualities for this role.
