Service & Support Engineer Automation/Electrical

We are seeking a technically strong Service & Support Engineer with a background as Electrician and/or Automation engineer. You will work with our in-house developed control systems based on Siemens S7 & TIA PLC and a Qt-based GUI, supporting advanced deck machinery for offshore and naval vessels. Most of your time will be spent providing technical support from the office, with some international travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide office-based technical support as your main task.

• Travel internationally (approx. 50 - 80 days per year) for commissioning, upgrades, and service.

• Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems and electrical components.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both on-site and through remote support.

• Handle support requests and assist with system documentation.

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on technical experience is highly valued.

• Electrician or Automation education, or an bachelors degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with Siemens S7 and/or TIA, Qt, or similar systems is an advantage.

• Familiarity with CAD, PLM, or ERP systems is a plus.
