IT Manager – Infrastructure & Operations

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to take responsibility for our local IT infrastructure and fabrication-related systems in Stavanger. This is a key role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical problem-solving – and who understands the importance of reliable IT in a demanding operational setting.

You’ll be managing our current team of 4 people that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term digital development, working closely with local colleagues and global IT resources.

Worley Rosenberg, part of the global Worley Corporation, is a leading EPCI provider (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) with over 1,100 employees in Norway. We deliver innovative solutions to the energy and infrastructure sectors and play a key role in Norway’s transition to renewable energy – including projects like Sørlige Nordsjø II – the country’s first major offshore wind development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing local IT infrastructure, fabrication equipment, and the operations team
  
• Collaborating with the global NTT team (based locally) on standard office IT
  
• Working with local and global IT teams to run, upgrade, and maintain infrastructure, application back-ends, systems, and automation
  
• Creating and maintaining documentation for systems and solutions
  
• Ensuring alignment with global corporate IT strategy while meeting local business needs
  
• Supporting global functions in managing relationships with local IT vendors and service providers
  
• Implementing global standards and methodologies to support business processes and technology
  
• Collaborating with clients on system and application integration projects
  
• Providing technical support and training to employees as needed

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A higher education in IT (BSc or above) – relevant experience may compensate
  
• Broad experience in IT operations, ideally within an EPC or industrial environment
  
• A solid understanding of IT standards, methodologies, and technologies – ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus
  
• Experience delivering IT services and projects to defined performance and cost standards, and preferably managing IT budgets
  
• Familiarity with IT audits, procedures, and their practical implementation
  
• Technical knowledge across servers, SANs, voice and data communications, and application deployment
  
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco networking, Active Directory, Azure, Citrix, RDP, VMware, PowerShell, and communication protocols
  
• Fluency in both Norwegian and English, with strong written, oral, and presentation skills
