AutoStore is looking for a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our R&D department. In this role, you’ll work across multiple product development projects, contributing with advanced structural analysis, static and dynamic calculations, and proof-of-concept evaluations. Your work will support the development of innovative automation solutions used worldwide.

Task and Responsibilities:  

• Conduct structural calculations and simulations, including static, dynamic, and seismic analyses.

• Perform both global and detailed structural assessments using finite element analysis and hand calculations.

• Ensure compliance with international and regional codes, standards, and regulations.

• Collaborate internally with development teams and external certification bodies to validate and optimize structural designs. · Physical testing and validation in lab environments when needed.

• Contribute to technical documentation and clearly communicate analysis results and recommendations.

Requirements:  

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with emphasis on structural analysis, including floor slab design, load calculations, and geotechnical considerations 

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (relevant experience may substitute formal education) 

• Proficient in engineering tools such as Ansys Workbench (or similar FEA),  AutoCAD, Inventor, Ansys, MathCad Prime, and Cyclone 3DR for point cloud processing 

• Solid understanding of building codes and engineering standards, international and regional (e.g., ISO, Eurocode, ASCE, ASTM).

• Skilled in product development and manufacturing methodologies, including aluminum extrusion (hot and cold), die design, and prototyping, among others.

Location for this role is either in our offices in either in our Headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or Oslo (Lysaker)
