PRE role in offshore HVAC projects – electrical and instrumentation focus

Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to join a long-term assignment with one of our clients in the offshore industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English and proven experience in offshore oil & gas projects. This is a 12-month engagement with a high likelihood of extension, where you will be employed by Jefferson Wells and work directly on-site with our client.

Tasks and Responsibilities


Serve as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for assigned Electrical and/or Instrumentation packages related to HVAC systems.

Analyze project requirements using project specifications, international standards, and through close collaboration with the client.

Coordinate with sub-suppliers to manage quotation processes, technical purchase orders, and follow up on delivery schedules.

Read, interpret, and prepare electrical and instrumentation diagrams, datasheets, and product catalogues.

Utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Background and Qualifications

Experience working on offshore oil & gas projects, specifically with electrical and instrumentation systems.

General knowledge of relevant marine and offshore standards, such as IEC, ATEX, and ISO.

Experience in preparing and submitting technical documents and drawings related to electrical and control systems.

Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
