IT System Administrator

We are expanding our IT Team and are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator that wants to join us on our journey! In the role you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing our on-prem- and cloud IT systems and infrastructure.

The IT-department is responsible for managing, securing, developing and ensuring compliance of all IT-systems and infrastructure at Andøya Space. The department is a part of the Operation Support Division. The department also support and advice in operational activities in Missile, Ballistic Rockets and Orbital launches.

Working tasks/responsabilites

Andøya Space will be looking for a range of qualifications from applicants in the field of IT and information systems. The applicant might also work towards operations and campaigns.

The main tasks are:

• Server and infrastructure Management (on-prem and cloud)
• Virtualization and Container Management
• Firewall, Network and Wi-Fi Management
• Data Storage Management
• Backup and Disaster Recovery Management
• Operating systems and enterprise application management
• Security and Compliance Management
• Documentation and Quality Management
• Contribute and advise on IT projects across the organization
• Tier 2/3 Technical Support and troubleshooting

The position might also work towards and in operations and campaigns. This may include some travelling, work outside normal working hours and across remote land areas. The position might also be involved in IT related projects across the company.

Qualifications - education

• We are seeking a skilled applicant with a relevant engineering degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) or a Completed Certificate of Apprenticeship with work experience in the field of IT/information systems (relevant experience within IT may compensate for the educational requirements).
• Experience with management and maintenance of different IT Systems such as:
  
  • Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Atlassian, GCP ect.)
    
  • Virtualization- and containers (vSphere, RHV, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes ect.)
    
  • Automation and scripting (Powershell, Ansible, Python, Ansible ect.)
    
  • Databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB ect.)
    
  • Backup and data storage (Veeam, AWS, Rubrik, Synology ect.)
    
  • Network and Security solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, Fortigate ect.)
    
• IT Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware etc.)
  
• Knowledge of relevant IT frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, ISO and CIS Controls.
  
• Experience with development and maintenance of system documentation

• Applicant must be able to gain a National Norwegian Security Clearance
  
• Fluent in Norwegian oral and writing
  
• Proficient in English oral and writing
  
• Applicants must have a Class B driver’s license
