Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead with purpose? As the Department Manager for Mechanical Engineering, you will:
Lead with Vision: Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team across Mechanical, HVAC, Materials Technology , and Operations & Maintenance disciplines. Champion innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Drive Talent Development: Mentor and grow your team. Identify skill gaps, lead recruitment efforts, and implement training and succession plans to build a future-ready workforce.
Ensure Technical Excellence: Oversee technical governance, quality assurance, and compliance. Promote best practices and ensure fit-for-purpose procedures.
Collaborate Across Projects: Optimize resource allocation, support project execution, and ensure high-quality deliverables across all phases.
Support Business Growth: Partner with sales and business development teams to showcase capabilities and contribute to winning proposals in both conventional and renewable sectors.
Engage Globally: Connect with Worley’s global network to share knowledge, align with international standards, and contribute to global engineering strategies.
Modernize Tools & Methods: Ensure the use of cutting-edge tools and methodologies. Collaborate with IT and training teams to keep systems and skills up to date.
Manage Budgets: Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and accurate financial forecasting.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven leadership experience in engineering management.
Deep understanding of mechanical engineering across all asset lifecycle phases.
Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and people development skills.
Preferred:
Experience in project or engineering management.
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives.
