As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and integration of advanced control solutions for our AUVs, ROVs, and subsea systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on next-generation automation, sensing, and power management for autonomous subsea vehicles, ensuring they operate seamlessly in harsh underwater environments.
You will follow projects from concept to completion, including design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and customer delivery. Close collaboration with our workshop allows for hands-on involvement in prototype development and system validation.
Duties & Responsibilities
General:
Design and develop high-performance electrical systems for AUVs, ROVs, and subsea robotic platforms
Develop solutions for power distribution, automation, and sensor integration
Create concepts and detailed designs, optimizing for efficiency and reliability in deepwater environments
Lead/Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and software engineers to create integrated systems
Support manufacturing, testing, and deployment of prototypes and full-scale products
Interface with customers and suppliers
Lead troubleshooting and technical improvements activities for existing subsea systems
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
Experience with electrical engineering for complex systems
Strong background in SW programming, power electronics, automation or system integration
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Good Norwegian communication skills.
Desired:
Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or underwater technology
Hands-on experience in prototyping and troubleshooting of electronic systems
