System design and automation – long-term engineering assignment

Jefferson Wells is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong capabilities in system design and technical documentation. This role involves developing detailed design deliverables that serve as the foundation for automation implementation. The position is a long-term assignment with employment through Jefferson Wells, on behalf of one of our valued clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop system design and technical documentation for external control systems

• Participate in P&ID, HAZOP and design reviews

• Prepare specifications and RFQs; evaluate technical bids and supplier documents

• Coordinate technical information with vendors and project stakeholders

• Contribute to testing, commissioning, and follow-up of deliveries

Background and Qualifications

• Higher education in Automation, Control Systems, or Cybernetics

• Experience with system design and interpreting technical documents

• Familiar with control system hardware/software and engineering tools

• Knowledge of signal lists, P&IDs, C&E diagrams, and instrumentation
