As our Business Development Manager at Fred. Olsen 1848, you will report to the VP-Commercial and work from our office in Aarhus, Denmark, or Oslo, Norway.
As our new Business Development Manager, you will introduce Brizo to new and existing markets. This hands-on role is focused on identifying commercial opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and closing deals that drive real growth. You’ll work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to turn market interest into adoption and long-term partnerships.
This position requires regular travel to meet Customers, explore new markets, and attend industry events.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new market opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other partners
- Sales and tender activities
- Identify and mature potential partnerships for our technologies
- Identify and mature industry partnerships
- Gather and communicate market insights
- Work alongside our technical team to align customer needs with our offering
- Coordinate discussions, negotiations, and agreements with potential clients
The right candidate has:
- Experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles
- Practical experience in bringing new products to an industrial market
- At least 3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge from the renewables industry is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and writing skills in English that enable you to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely, and with strong attention to detail
- Good cultural understanding with the ability to establish connections across cultures and borders
- Talent for project management – the ability to drive processes forward
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong integrity and self-driven personality
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Outgoing nature with a practical mindset
