The Role of Global Marketing Manager, Workwear (temporary)
Drive global growth and visibility of the Workwear category by developing and executing integrated marketing strategies. You’ll own trade campaigns, build cross-functional partnerships, and ensure the category has a strong voice in the global brand.
Main tasks
- Build and lead the Workwear global marketing plan
- Deliver high-impact trade campaigns and seasonal toolkits
- Align Product and Marketing messaging to drive sell-through
- Lead campaign initiatives, POS, and social media content
- Represent Workwear across Helly Hansen global marketing
- Manage campaigns on-time, on-brand, and on-budget

Key responsibilities
Global Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement global workwear marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, seasonal calendars, and brand DNA.
- Define go-to-market priorities and ensure consistent messaging across all channels and regions.
Integrated Campaigns:
- Lead product campaign calendar. Create and execute campaigns for key product launches.
- Coordinate internal and external partners to deliver aligned, timely assets across paid, earned, owned, and trade channels.
Brand Development:
- Chamipon a unified global brand voice rooted in purpose, functionality, and pride of trade.
- Help localize messaging to resonate with regional markets while maintaining global consistency.
Retail & Trade Marketing:
- Drive global marketing support for wholesale partners, distributors, and retail networks (B2B and B2C).
- Develop POS, campaign toolkits, sell-in materials and promotional assets tailored for each channel tier.
Digital & Content Marketing:
- Plan and align social media and e-commerce content, coordinating with Digital and E-com teams. Build a content calendar.
- Suppoert digital channels including web, social, CRM and performance marketing. Build a content calendar.
Product & Category Launches:
- Collaborate with Product, Sales and Regional Marketing to ensure launches are supported by impactful storytelling and robust marketing plans.
- Develop clear marketing briefs that highlight value propositions and end-user benefits.
Partnerships & Spnsorships:
- Identify and activate strategic partnerships with trade influencers, workwear ambassadors, and B2B media alongside Regional Marketing & Sales teams.
- Drive Workwear-specific partnerships, ambassador programs, and trade shows. Leverage trade expos for brand awareness and lead gen.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Define KPIs and report regularly on campaign effectiveness, brand health, and sales lift.
- Use data to refine plans, increase efficiency, and support budget reallocation.
Budget Management:
- Own and manage the global marketing budget, ensuring maximum impact per dollar across channels and regions.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, E-commerce, Creative, and Regional Marketing teams.
- Present plans and results to stakeholders.
Skills & experience
- 6–8 years in omni-channel marketing roles, with at least 2–3 years in a global or multi-region function
- Background in performance workwear, safety apparel, footwear or performance technical sports gear is preferred
- Education: Business degree BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field (master’s degree is preferred)
- Track record of building integrated marketing campaigns that drive sell-through, brand engagement, and trade adoption
- Analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
- Strong execution and leadership in cross-functional settings
- Passion for the trades and performance product
- Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to pivot between strategy and execution
- Collaborative mindset with comfort working across time zones and cross-cultural teams
- English fluent; second language a plus
- Passion for craftsmanship, trades, or technical product categories is a strong advantage
Travel: 20–30% (market visits, trade shows and distributors events)
The role is located in Oslo - Global HQ and is temporary employment (up tp 12 months)
