Senior Telecommunications Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to build and strengthen our Instrument, Controls, Telecoms and Cybersecurity team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and specify solutions for Telecoms systems and equipment in projects and studies for both the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
- Prepare, modify, and review Telecoms design and philosophy documentation such as design criteria and design philosophy.
- Prepare, modify, and review telecoms drawings.
- Prepare technical specifications, data sheets and other tender documentation of telecoms systems.
- Attend factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning, and handover of equipment to clients.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, standards, HSE guidelines, and contract requirements.
- Contribute to meeting project milestones, budget, and quality requirements.
- Support the tender and bidding phases of projects.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement within the organisation.
- Assist the base department in maintaining Telecoms system design procedures and routines.
- Some travel may be required, both offshore and onshore.
You'll have
- University or technical college degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree).
- 5+ years’ experience within Telecom engineering.
- Experience from Norwegian field developments.
- A mix of field instrumentation and hands on experience is an advantage.
- Experience with working in projects and projects driven organisations.
- Good knowledge of rules and regulations for offshore installations.
- Experience from the Brownfield and Greenfield projects oil and gas projects.
- Strong communication skills in English whereas Norwegian would-be an advantage.
