GLOBAL COORDINATOR, CARE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S ECONOMIC JUSTICE

We are looking for someone proactive and experienced to lead this work in CARE International.
CARE Norge (CN) leads the CARE International’s Impact Area on Women’s Economic Justice (WEJ). CARE International has set itself the goal to reach 50 million women to have more equitable access to and control over economic resources and opportunities by 2030.
Your main responsibility as WEJ Global Coordinator will be to provide strategic leadership and coordination to the CARE International WEJ Impact Area, to support the implementation of the WEJ strategy.
This means that you:
- Work with WEJ experts within the CARE International confederation to promote program quality by provision of technical advice and support on WEJ program development, advocacy, and strategy.
- Support improved measuring of impact by working with the MEAL community within the CARE International confederation, managing knowledge and promoting learning across the women’s economic justice Impact Area.
- Are responsible for increasing the profile and recognition of thought leadership on women’s economic justice within CARE International and its entities.
- Ensure representation to external stakeholders and partners in relation to CARE International women’s economic justice expertise.
- Support CARE Norge’s strategic thinking on WEJ and participate in prioritised meetings and arenas.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Minimum 10 years of work experience including women’s economic justice
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience in coordinating complex processes
- Proven ability to network and engage
- Leadership experience
- English proficiency, good Norwegian skills
- Skills in French/Spanish/Arabic language considered an advantage
What we can offer you:
You will engage with colleagues worldwide to develop CI’s work on WEJ. It is a permanent position based in Oslo, Norway where we are a team of 30 staff, including a CARE Norge WEJ team that you will engage with. The position will report to CARE Norge Director of International Department.
