AutoStore is looking for a Product Compliance Engineer for Machinery Safety
We are now looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join our growing R&D department. We are looking for a detailed oriented, compliance engineer with an machinery safety engineering background which can ensure that our products meet the applicable regulatory requirements. As a compliance engineer within AutoStore you will have the opportunity to work internationally with an innovative product while continuing to develop yourself within a multidisciplinary department.
You will work closely with product developers in different projects as well as external test labs. You will also support throughout the entire life cycle of the products and make sure regulatory requirements are met and up to date.
In this role you will be working with machinery safety standards for both EU, US/Canada as well as international standards and deliver requirement to designers in different projects. Another important role is to provide compliance knowledge within the whole AutoStore organization and support sales team and other stakeholders within the regulatory field.
Locations: Open to hybrid remote work, but expect some presence in our facilities in Nedre Vats, Norway. We also have offices in Haugesund, Oslo and Stavanger in Norway.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in product approval processes
- Work with international standards for product approvals
- Internal training and guidance for Product Developers
- Test specification and documentation
- Participate in internal and external tests
- Approval of design, components and materials
- Development and maintenance of processes and guidelines.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant higher education, such as mechanical and/or machinery safety engineering.
- At least 3 years’ experience of working with machinery safety is an advantage.
- Knowledge about FMEA and machinery safety related work.
- Experience with systems for quality management, product development and follow-up of procedures is an advantage.
- Good language skills in English, written and oral.
