Development Engineer – digital electronics

As we experience exciting growth and an increase in international deliveries, we are looking to strengthen our Product Development organization in Hvalstad.

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be a central figure in designing 3D Perception’s core technology and components. Your expertise in embedded systems development will drive innovation in image processing hardware, video signal distribution, and network interfaces.

Key responsibilities include:

·  Maintain current products with respect to obsolescence of parts, upgrades or failures.

·  Follow up with suppliers regarding product quality.

·  Maintain close communication with Project Teams to ensure rapid handling of product challenges.

·  Hardware development of current and future products.

·  Hardware architecture and design.

·  Understand customer needs and requirements.

·  Maintain an overview of relevant, current, and emerging technologies.

·  Communicate technology-related information internally and externally.

·  Design, prototype, test, document and release hardware.

·  Maintain current hardware solutions.

·  Work as part of the Product Development team to implement new hardware solutions.

·  Contribute to best practices for design and development.

·  Advise senior management on technology choices.

·  Mentor junior hardware developers.

Skills required

·      Bs. Sc. / M. Sc. degree or similar in Electronics Engineering, Cybernetics, Computer Science.

·      Relevant work experience.

·      Strong skillset in digital electronics and FPGA development.

·      Understanding and experience in embedded systems development.

·      Hardware analysis and design skills.

·      Understanding of video and signal processing.

·      Structured with an eye for detail.

·      Proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions.

·      Fluent in English, both oral and written.

·      Interest and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

·      Fluent in English, both oral and written.

·      Must not be disqualified from obtaining security clearances.

·      Determined and innovative.
