Join DNV as an engineer within our Pressure Equipment team at Høvik!
We are seeking an Engineer to join our Pressure Equipment team at our office near Oslo, Norway.
Our team of 14 highly qualified engineers is responsible for the engineering assessment and certification of pressure equipment against international and national regulations, standards, and classification rules. The team is uniquely positioned within DNV, offering design verification services across multiple industries, and is instrumental in validating our customers' designs.
This role focuses on reviewing pressure equipment designs and associated production processes, testing, and material requirements. You will gain insights into offshore production, ship operations, onshore facilities, advanced fuel systems (such as LNG and hydrogen), and state-of-the-art materials and applications. You will engage with customers from around the world, fostering quality and trust in projects that span diverse cultures and geographies.
We are looking for a colleague who has/is:
- A degree in Mechanical or Structural engineering.
- Professional experience with the design, fabrication, and testing of pressure equipment (such as pressure vessels, valves, heat exchangers, hydraulic cylinders, etc.).
- Experience with certification to EU directives, such as PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and TPED (Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive).
- Experience with ADR/RID/IMDG (regulations for the transport of dangerous goods)
- Proficiency in written and verbal English. English is the official communication language at DNV.
- Quality-oriented and systematic.
- Self-driven and willing to share experiences.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in written and verbal Norwegian
- Experience in quality system auditing
