In the Simulation Software Product Group, we are building a scalable digital simulation ecosystem which provides our customers more value and impact by helping healthcare professionals and educators improve the delivery of training and education through physical simulation. As part of our team, you will work alongside dedicated and creative software engineers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and product experts to solve new challenges as we help save lives by developing the best products and capabilities in the industry. 

As Product Manager, based in Stavanger, Norway, you will be at the heart of our technological foundations, ensuring our medical simulators and related software operate seamlessly, whether it is running from the cloud or on-premises. You will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy and roadmap, with a strong focus on value and outcomes in close collaboration with the Tech Lead, the team, product group, and stakeholders. In addition, you will ensure day-to-day team guidance and drive business and product group alignment. 

The team’s customers are primarily other internal product teams, though we always develop our capabilities with the end-users in mind.  

Some of what you will be doing 

•  With an outcome-focused approach, lead the creation of systems and capabilities that bring medical scenarios to life, ensuring smooth interactions with our hardware and digital products 
•  Champion user experience, ensuring our backend decisions prioritize stability, speed, and security  
•  Engage with product and technical leadership in the product group to ensure coherent and impactful user journeys across our ecosystem 
•  Drive the development and execution of the team’s product strategy and roadmap in close collaboration with the team 
•  Stay ahead of the curve by following industry trends, integrating external technologies, and enhancing our product capabilities 
•  Use data to enhance our products, understanding how users interact and where we can improve 
•  Inspire and lead your team, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and excellence 

Who we envision would fit the role 

You come with a strong technical acumen but want to pursue a career within product management as you have a strong passion for creating products and value to our customers and users. Preferably, you have hands-on experience in architecture and backend development and a good grasp of cloud services and infrastructure solutions. 

You are committed to agile principles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement ensuring that products and processes evolve efficiently and effectively. 

You are experienced in applying modern product discovery and delivery techniques, driven by a strong sense of curiosity. 

Preferred qualifications and experience: 

•  A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and experience as tech lead or architect. Preferably also product management experience  
•  Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies 
•  Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and analytics 
•  Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think creatively 
•  Fluent English (written and verbal) and the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly
