To support our journey, we are looking for a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join the Technical Safety & Analysis team. We are primarily looking for someone that will work out from our Fornebu office just outside Oslo. Other locations can be relevant for the right candidate.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled experts in technical safety, environmental studies, risk analysis, and CFD modeling. Driven by curiosity and innovation, this team conducts advanced simulations and analyses to optimize designs and enhance safety across offshore wind, aquaculture, carbon capture, and low-carbon technologies.

What will you be doing?
As a key member of the team, you will:
- Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Type of studies and topics may include but is not limited to:
- Offshore wind development with wave induced load simulations.
- Offshore aquaculture with water quality assessments.
- Flow distribution simulations supporting Carbon Capture development.
- Multiphase flow simulation for various process equipment.
- General external flow analysis, like helideck turbulence analysis, produced water dispersion analysis, gas dispersion analysis, etc.
- Heat removal and HVAC design optimization and verification.
- Hydropower system design and optimization.
- Development, optimization and verification of products and concepts.
- Work as an integrated member of a larger multi-disciplinary team in Entr / Aker Solutions, or on work on studies performed directly for the Client.
- Prepare tenders, be project manager for smaller studies, and participate in internal and external activities to promote our services and offerings.
- Contribute to innovation and development activities.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
- Work on studies and projects across in all engineering project phases, from Feasibility/Concept to Detail Engineering and Operation/Modification.
- Work with offshore wind, aquaculture, Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization (CCUS), hydrogen, ammonia, low-carbon O&G, synthetic fuel production, and more.
- Be part of shaping the future of CFD services in Entr.
What expertise you will bring to the team:
- Master’s degree (or higher) within engineering, physics and similar, with subjects related to one or more of the following fields: fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, process design, product development or physics
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience with CFD analysis used on industrial applications. Graduates may also be considered if they have the right background and mindset
- Experience with technologies and processes related to offshore wind, aquaculture, CCUS, ammonia, hydrogen or synthetic fuels is an advantage
- A will and ability to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge, and a will to share your knowledge and experience
- The ability and self-drive to stay up to date on relevant methods and software development, important for your area of work
- An analytical mindset and ability to translate customer challenger into solutions
- Ability to work structured, have strong work ethics and be a positive contribution to our office environment
- Experience with StarCCM+ or similar CFD tools is an advantage
- Experience with basic programming / scripting in Python, VBA, Power BI or similar is an advantage
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Fluent in English, both written and oral. Norwegian/Scandinavian language is an advantage.
