The Floater and Marine Technology group at Fornebu consists of about 30 passionate engineers looking for new colleagues with the ability of conceptual thinking and a heart for floater design and analysis, both high-level and detailed.

We have shaped the Company's deliverables of floating installations over several decades. We have a strong footprint in the oil and gas industry, being responsible for all design and analysis related to floating structures. On the shoulder of oil and gas, our group has evolved into the renewables markets focusing on aquaculture and floating wind.

What will you be doing? 

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Work as part of an innovative team, work on floating projects within offshore wind, offshore fish farming, and O&G
• Design and analyze floaters including mooring system and risers from concept phase to detail engineering
• Motion analyses of floating structures, mooring system design and analyses, riser/cable design and analyses
• Interface with marine operations on mooring system, floater installation and hook-up
• Solve various technical challenges in a fast-changing industry
• Collaborate with a highly experienced and qualified team within floaters and marine technology
• Work with the main clients within a wide energy sector
• Maintain and build knowledge and skills in the engineering area
• Develop methods and tools to increase the efficiency of our work

What expertise you will bring to the team: 

• A higher Technical University degree (M.Sc. or higher) within Marine Technology (Hydrodynamics)
• Knowledge of design philosophies and concept development of floating structures
• Experience with relevant analysis work
• Software knowledge: SESAM, OrcaFlex, MATLAB, Python
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbally and in writing), Norwegian is considered as a plus
• You are a team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive and positive attitude
• You are efficient and structured in your way of working in combination with a service- and solution-oriented approach
• You are curious and have an open mind when it comes to understanding customer needs
• You are adaptable and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
