Mechanical engineer

Responsibilities and tasks: 

In feed studies:

• Mechanical engineer
• Responsible for equipment selection
• Dialogue with potential suppliers
• Provide the engineering disciplines with required equipment information

In other drilling projects:

• Mechanical package responsible engineer (PRE)
• Develop equipment inquiries
• Evaluation of bids from suppliers
• Preparation of technical equipment specifications
• Follow-up and co-ordination equipment deliveries
• Attend progress meetings at suppliers
• Co-ordinate and approve supplier documentation
• Participate and responsible for equipment testing at suppliers
• Co-ordination and approval of final equipment documentation 

Qualifications and personal attributes:

• BSc/MSc
• Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
• Three to five years of relevant experience
• Good English skills both written and verbal
• Adheres to Aker Solutions’ values
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player
