As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Safety & Environment Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
What will you be doing?
- Plan and execute technical safety deliverables.
- Establish and update safety philosophies and strategies.
- Prepare design specifications, detailed engineering, and reports for safety systems and equipment.
- Prepare and update safety documents and drawings.
- Provide input to procurement packages and follow up with suppliers.
- Conduct risk assessments with qualitative and quantitative analyses.
- Plan and prepare safety design reviews (HAZID, safety assessments, ALARP).
- Design and develop firewater systems.
- Prepare P&IDs and UFDs.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Technical Safety expertise with Firewater design experience.
- Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant science/engineering field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant technical safety engineering experience in the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of Norwegian regulations and standards, including NORSOK S-001, S-011, S-012.
- Experience in firewater design for NCS projects, including hydraulic calculations and nozzle location evaluation.
- Familiarity with Pipenet software.
- Proactive with excellent communication and cooperation skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
