We are searching for a Team Lead to lead the Emergency Response HR Business Partners Team, within the International HR Unit, for a period of 9 months. The purpose of the role is to ensure effective coordination and line management of the Emergency Response HR Business Partner Team. Furthermore the position will be responsible for resource forecasting and -planning within Emergency Response as well as ensure continuous improvement and development of the emergency reponse HR capacities that contribute to the Red Cross Movement Emergency Response.
Duties and responsibilities
Leadership Responsibilities
- Line manage and develop the International Emergency Response HR Business Partner Team
- Follow up annual priorities for the team's Emergency Response HR activities
- Enable and set direction for strong collaboration with key Emergency Response counterparts within the Norwegian Red Cross as well as within the International Red Cross movement, other National Societies and external stakeholders.
- Ensure coordination and prioritization of HR resources to ensure effective HR support for Emergency Response roster and GST deployments.
- Coordinate and ensure operational work processes related to emergency response works in line with roles and responsibilities and that work processes are up to date.
- Set priorities for continuous development of the HR frameworks, policies, systems and tools for preparedness and response.
Key individual contribution responsibilities
- Facilitate proactive resource forecasting and -planning of the Emergency Response HR capacity, to ensure HR demand and supply balance
- Ensure and support planning and facilitation of onboarding, development and motivational activities that builds preparedness and readiness of the Emergency Response Roster.
- Manage HR support of deployments, recruitment and relevant trainings as needed.
- Plan motivational activities for Emergency Response roster members together with the team and key stakeholders
- Suggest and follow up development initiatives and activities that contribute to the future development of the Emergency Response roster and the HR management Global Surge Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree, or above, in HR or related science
- Experience from an HR Service Delivery environment
- Extensive experience with Red Cross Movement Surge Tools
- Line management experience from an HR service environment is an asset
- Experience from HR processes and tools related to organisational and individual development
- Experience with resource forecasting and planning within emergency response
- Experienced user of IT Recruitment and testing tools
- Experienced user of personnel databases
- English and Norwegian as working languages is compulsory
