Group Treasury Controller
As a Group Treasury Controller, you will lead the treasury function at Schibsted Media, driving strategic financial initiatives and ensuring optimal cash management. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and innovating cash management systems, with a focus on future-proofing our cash management and treasury applications as well as ensuring efficient capital allocation reporting across the Group. You will play a crucial role in financial oversight, providing strategic insights and reports to Group Management and the Board.
In this role, you will coordinate with various teams within Finance and across Schibsted, championing projects that enhance Group Financial Reporting. You will act as a key representative in cross-departmental projects, driving continuous improvements and adopting cutting-edge financial technologies to streamline operations.
The Group Treasury Controller will report to the Head of Accounting and Consolidation. The position will be located in Oslo, and it will require some travelling.
The Group Treasury Controller is responsible for:
Responsible for cash management, including fx, and bank agreements
Preparation of accounting memos and ensure IFRS compliance
Monitoring and reporting of significant capital allocation within the Group
Negotiating and evaluating overdrafts and loans
Responsible for insurance agreements
Consolidation and preparation of Schibsted Media’s external reports and Annual Report
Support finance personnel in subsidiaries with solving accounting issues and closely collaborate with other related departments
Drive improvement and efficiencies
Support Head of Accounting and Consolidation with overall improvement initiatives
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should have:
Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
Knowledge of IFRS (IFRS 9)
Analytical mindset
Significant experience from treasury function in a large company/corporate function
Independently driven, but collaborative and easy to work with
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and Norwegian or Swedish
