Technical Safety in Stavanger is looking to strengthen the team with new Junior and Senior Engineers within Technical Safety. You will play an important part in ensuring environmental protection, conducting Formal Safety Assessments, managing Safety Integrity Levels, and promoting a healthy work environment.
About the position
This role at Aibel is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for professionals with experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It involves intricate tasks such as area classification, managing Fire and Gas systems and Emergency Shutdown procedures. Additionally, the responsibility extends to planning escape routes and evacuation means, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Formal Safety Assessments and managing Safety Integrity Levels
- Passive and active fire protection (PFP)
- Working environment (WHERA, chemical risk analysis, Human factors)
- External environment, i.e. BAT assessment, environmental budget, energy demand and air emissions
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree within relevant topic
- Preferably experience with FEED and early study projects
- Experience and knowledge of offshore process and process safety design
- Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHERA
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, i.e. NORSOK, PTIL, ISO, PSA, API
Personal qualities
- Have good communication skills in Norwegian and English
- Have a cooperative working attitude
- Are systematic and accurate
- Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- Have a high degree of self-learning skills
