Subsea7 has won several major contracts lately and is expanding the project cost controlling team to strengthen their delivery. You will be part of a team that brings new perspectives and smart technology to some of the most challenging and inspiring energy projects around the world, in an international and diverse working environment.

On behalf of Subsea7, we are looking for a Senior Project Cost Controller.

The Senior Project Cost Controller will be key to ensure accurate, timely and value-added analysis and reporting on various projects within a team of Cost Controllers or as a responsible Controller, and will be mainly working with the following tasks:

Project Cost Planning and Budgeting:

Develop a common understanding of the Tender budget and ensure its transfer to the cost management system to establish the first project forecast
Establish a project coding structure in accordance with Group guidelines
Establish interdependence with Contract WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), Plan, and Budget/Forecast
Assist/liaise with the Project Planner for maintenance of project WBS and NWA structures
Responsible for the overall coordination of changes to the forecast based on inputs from the Client, project management, and other project team members
Provide accurate long-term cash flow forecasts monthly for projects

Cost Tracking and Control:

Oversee the timely coding, collection, analysis, and reporting of all project expenditures, working with budget holders
Responsible for the reconciliation of forecasted and actual expenditures and the production of project accruals

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Perform economic analysis, deviations, probability analyses, and support project management on any accounting issues and reporting related to the project.
Ensure monthly in-depth analysis and reporting of variances.
Responsible for preparing the monthly Client cost reporting package.
Prepare/compile cost and financial input to the PMSR (Project Monthly Status Report)

Client and Internal Documentation:

Prepare monthly invoices to the client
Participate in the estimation of Variation Orders, prepare supporting data and documentation, and evaluate the economic impact of variations in scope of work
Prepare and/or review Close-out Documentation, both internally and externally

Who is the Right Candidate?
• Master’s degree in finance or accounting
• Minimum 5+ years of experience within cost management or project management
• Relevant experience in Cost Control on projects in the subsea or offshore environment
• Technical knowledge and application of Cost Control and associated systems
• Experience in SAP and/or EcoSys is an advantage
• Strong Excel knowledge
• Good communication, collaborative and analytical skills
• Self-motivated, hands-on, proactive and independent
