Energy Systems is part of our Energy unit who is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Energy products and systems.

In the position of Energy System Engineer, you will support our journey towards greener shipping. This calls for a thorough understanding of current solutions and innovation of new opportunities that will shape the future of the maritime industry. You will be analysing customers requirements, propose and detail solutions from our Energy System catalogue, comprise AC Conventional, AC Hybrid PTI/PTO, DC Hybrid PTI/PTO and Closed Ring & Hybrid.

Key accountabilities

• Provide support to Sales on Energy System architectures.
• Conduct electrical system analyses in bid phase.
• Perform Trade-off analysis, capex vs opex, of suggested solutions.
• Work on Industrialisation and standardisation of energy solutions.
• Support our Energy delivery organization on a system level.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
• Experience with design of maritime power systems.
• Good understanding of existing and future energy concepts for the maritime and offshore markets.
