We are looking for two engineers specializing in pipe stress!

We are pleased to announce a new position for a Piping/Senior Pipe Stress Engineer within one of our clients projects. This is a full-time role based in Oslo and we are looking to fill two openings for this critical role.

Job Description

• Identify and select stress-critical lines from Process P&IDs based on NORSOK guidelines

• Perform comprehensive stress analysis on critical piping systems on an offshore oil & gas platform

• Identify flexibility and pipe support requirements for non-critical lines through visual checks or hand calculations

• Conduct detailed checking of calculations made by other stress engineers

• Maintain close cooperation with other disciplines such as piping layout, pipe supports, structural, construction, etc., to implement an optimal design

• Perform calculations and qualify various piping components including flanges, fittings, and nozzles per relevant standards

• Perform dynamic calculations involving slugging, surge, and fatigue

• Conduct screening exercises for potential vibrations in all systems and implement mitigating solutions

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Norwegian standards

• Good multi-discipline understanding

• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance of multicultural working teams

• Proficient in English with good communication skills
