We need you to focus on the following areas:
Line management and employer follow-up:
- Personell management and follow-up; line management of division staff.
- Recruitment when relevant in collaboration with the HR-department.
- Performance development reviews, professional discussions etc. with divison employees.
Strategic management:
- For division, within the division mandate, and as part of the Management Team in the Departement of International Programmes.
Professional management:
- Coaching, guidance and motivation of staff.
- Review, quality assurance and validation of professional deliveries.
- Representation and professional responsibility outside the division and outside DIP in subject areas under the division’s mandate.
Areas of responsibility:
- Lead and/or facilitate the establishment and management of global-level partnerships with institutional donors and private sector partners.
- Be a knowledge-hub for the organisation on donors relevant for NCA, as well as support application processes and grant cycles with donor expertise, guidance and tools.
- Oversight of NCA's relationships with Norad and the MFA, and management of the MFA and Norad framework agreements.
- Lead and coordinate DIP’s work on private sector program partnerships.
- Provide HO and CO staff with capacity strengthening and support on donor engagement, applications development, grant management and donor compliance.
Planning and coordination:
- Lead and/or facilitate assigned global-level planning and process management, including but not restricted to strategy and policy development related to donors, grants and private sector funds and private sector program partnerships.
- Contribute to the coordination of human resources between subject areas and other units in DIP, in line with the department's set priorities.
Educational requirements:
- Education at a higher level
Work experience / results:
- Experience from international development work, both on country / program level and HO level
- Prove track record of establishing strong donor relations, developing donor engagement strategies and grant management.
- Leadership experience, both strategic leadership and mid-management experience.
- Experience with grant and project cycle management, as well as process and change management.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian
- In addition to English and Norwegian, NCA also has French and Portuguese as working languages, knowledge of these is regarded an asset.
Personal characteristics:
- Very good analytical skills.
- Strong organizer and process manager.
- Ability to set strategic direction and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to work independently, carry responsibility and deliver without being closely controlled.
- Good at building and maintaining good relationships built on trust and a strong commitment.
