As our current Proposals Manager is entering a new role within Wood, we are looking for her replacement. 

You will have a central role and be involved in all phases of the pursuit and accountable for bid strategy, tender development and management through to post tender clarification and award.

Supported by BD Director and technical expertise from the Service Lines, you shall ensure all deliverables are to the highest quality, are consistent and demonstrate Wood’s full capability.

The position will report to Director Business Development and liaise with Proposals team peers throughout Wood and will be a fully integrated member of the Proposals Delivery team in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities 

• In conjunction with all Service Lines, support the compilation and adherence to the Wood tender governance policies and Wood Norway's local procedures for identified opportunities.
• Promote the selling of Wood Solutions – Encourage and support cross selling of services for Wood across all markets in tenders.
• Support he development of appropriate win strategies, in a timely fashion, and in accordance with schedule priorities as indicated within the database.
• Accountable for all stages of the tender process from receipt to delivery, as well as any follow-ups that may be required.
• Responsible for the management of post tender clarifications/negotiations as required.
• Support the preparation of customer presentations and/or proposal pitch to ensure the appropriate focus is maintained.
• Ensure accurate status of each pursuit is reflected in the Customer Relationship Management database.
• Ensure that any new material created in responding to tenders is captured.
• Support the EMEA Head of Proposals in the continual improvement of proposal procedures and processes. 
• Increase success rate for tenders through effective and appropriate use of proposal tools, customer relations management tools and service line capabilities.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in engineering, science, business administration or related field 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project execution, operations, or sales
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office tools
• Strong organizational and project management skills which include planning, multitasking and problem-solving
• Strong and proved commercial acumen
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Understanding of marketing techniques
• Even tempered in a fast paced, high pressure environment
