We are looking for a new Communications Advisor!

As one of the largest financial investors in the world, NBIM is sought after for both Norwegian and international media. We own almost 9,000 companies, and we vote at more than 120,000 general assemblies each year. We are increasingly vocal about our views and get a lot of attention both in the Norwegian and international press.
We aim to be the most transparent financial fund in the world. As a part of a new approach to transparency, communication is now a top priority. We are actively working to increase knowledge and understanding of the fund’s mission and investment strategy among our stakeholders. Strong relations with Norwegian and international media are key in this work, as well as continued efforts on our podcast “In Good Company” – the largest business podcast in Norway.

In this role, you will contribute to the fund’s external communications activities. You will ensure prompt and good responses to incoming media inquiries, as well as take part in our proactive work towards the media. You will also help research and prepare questions for upcoming podcast episodes and help with the promotion of new episodes.

You will work closely with the CEO and the rest of the leader group as well as many of our highly skilled employees. You will be able to work with the full spectrum of issues within finance and the increasing focus on responsible investment. You will be part of a small team of highly skilled and supportive communication specialists.

Duties and responsibilities

What you will do

  • Handle incoming media inquiries, including writing responses and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Write press releases and other material such as op-eds and text for external reports and publications.
  • Assist in organising external events such as press seminars and press conferences, including preparing PowerPoint presentations and speaking notes.
  • Prepare speaking points for interviews, background material and Q&A documents.
  • Monitor media coverage and produce media reports.
  • Conduct research and prepare questions for the fund’s podcast “In Good Company”.
  • Work on other communication tasks for the team as needed, such as tasks for internal communication and social media.
