As a team leader in the summer campaign, you will have a key role in the biggest and most important fundraising campaign Doctors Without Borders/Leger Uten Grenser has in Norway. You will be responsible for your own team traveling through Norway, where the goal is to recruit as many new regular donors to the organization as possible. Recruitment of new donors will happen through walking door to door, and by working on stands.
This is a great opportunity if you want experience in leadership. Through nine exciting weeks you will, together with the campaign coordinators, be responsible for a team. You will be working with training of fundraisers, follow-up and team building to motivate employees. In this job there will be a focus on personal development, with experiences that can further develop your career.
The work period for the team leaders will be from June to August. The campaign takes place all around the country, and you will be travelling with your team from Monday to Thursday most weeks, and Fridays will be spent in the office in Oslo. Doctors Without Borders covers all expenses for travel and accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Training and follow-up of nine team members
- Motivation and results of the team
- Take part in the planning and organization of travels
- Following up fundraisers and some support in administrative tasks
We are looking for candidates that
- Has experience with fundraising or team leading, experience with door to door fundraising is an advantage but not a must
- Is a team player, leader, and motivator
- Can convey information in a pedagogical way
- Is empathic and understanding
- Are flexible, solution- and result oriented
- Speaks English level B2
- Driver’s license is an advantage
We offer
- Temporary 100% contract from June 2024 to August 2024,
- Salary after Doctors Without Borders`s salary policy level 2, equivalent to 236kr per hour (no provisions)
- Normal working hours are from 13:00 to 21:00. Five workdays per week: Monday to Thursday traveling with the team, plus office day Friday
- Valuable leadership and work experience, with the possibility of further development in one of the world’s biggest medical humanitarian organizations
