IT Engineer

The IT Engineer is essential in managing and supporting TQC's IT infrastructure and applications across all locations, with a special attention on Norway operations. This role combines hands-on technical tasks with strategic operational management, ensuring all IT systems are functional, secure and efficient. This includes providing user support, managing IT assets, and participating in IT projects globally.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Provide proactive technical support for IT infrastructure, client computing, mobile/phone solutions, and application issues across all locations.
  
• Manage, install, configure, and support computers, software, audio/visual equipment, and phones.
  
• Utilize helpdesk software to efficiently track and resolve issues while maintaining clear communication with users about their status.
  
• Ensure the operation and monitoring of network systems and respond to issues through direct intervention or escalation.
  
• Maintain, organize, and ensure the operational health of all IT-related equipment, including servers, switches, and networking devices.
  
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for IT systems and deliver training to users.
  
• Participate in local and global IT projects and support tasks, contributing to the company's strategic IT goals.
  
• Build and maintain forms and workflows using tools like SharePoint, PowerAutomate and PowerApps, enhancing process efficiency.
  
• Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and warranties.

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and system administration.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  
• Proven experience in IT support and operations within a multi-location environment.
  
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a global team.
  
• Proficient in the use of helpdesk and IT service management software.
  
• Commitment to ongoing professional development to keep up with the latest technologies.
  
• Manage support in meeting rooms, AV equipment and video conferencing equipment.
  
• Knowledge of user management Azure/Entra, and Office365/SharePoint Administration
  
  • It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:
    
  • Knowledge of Intune and scripting based on PowerShell
    
  • Knowledge of scripting/development using Python and GIT
    
  • Knowledge of/experience from manufacturing companies, utilizing OT/automation
    
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies, Agile/Scrum and use of for example Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
