The position
By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:Be a part of a highly skilled team within Marine Technology which is responsible for inspection, maintenance and integrity of offshore structures and marine systems. Marine system covers mooring and positioning systems (turret, thruster, DP control system), ballast systems, bilge systems, loading computer, crude oil loading/offloading systems, stability, and other marine systems of offshore installations. The team takes responsibility and provides operational support for all facilities within marine systems at Norwegian Continental Shelf, UK and internationally, Safety Case Regulations, MAH (Major Accident Hazard) and Barrier Management activities.
In this position you will conduct a range of typical tasks including:
Ensure compliance with general and marine specific regulations, including Performance Standards and external and internal requirements.
Follow-up technical integrity of one or several marine systems.
Follow-up necessary hydrodynamics, mooring and stability analyses.
Deliver integrity status, propose corrective mitigating measures and conduct risk assessments.
Establish and continuously improve maintenance programs.
Support the Operational Project (modification) process.
Contribute to global professional networks and establish best practices.
Ensure safe and efficient operations of one of the biggest and most advanced global portfolios of marine structures and marine offshore installations.
You

MSc or PhD in a relevant field such as; Offshore Technology, Platform Technology, Marine Technology, Naval Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering.
Good knowledge of tools and methods for analytical work within marine systems.
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, and national and international standards for marine systems.
FPSO technical experience is advantageous (turret, thruster and crude oil loading/offloading systems).
A strong ability to prioritise and consider overall risk picture in work execution and planning. Experience in applying an ALARP approach is advantageous.
Willingness and ability to travel onshore and offshore on occasion.
Advanced level of Norwegian and/or English languages, both written and spoken.
