ENRX Skien is looking for an experienced Product Compliance Engineer to strengthen our Engineering department. As a Product Compliance Engineer you will be part of our Engineering department and work to ensure our products are designed and tested according to applicable regulatory and company requirements. This requires good knowledge of global regulatory requirements, technical insight, and the ability to drive the organization to maintain and develop a good compliance program.

We seek a colleague who is motivated and committed, and who is passionate about making sure our customers will see ENRX as a reliable and good partner. You will work in a team with skilled colleagues and with employees in our sister companies in Asia, America and Europe. At our premises in Skien, you will be close to the entire value chain with everything from development to production.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Maintain knowledge, overview and application of relevant international regulations, standards, requirements, and certifications that apply to ENRX products.
  • Provide product technical and safety guidance and serve as a technical resource, translate regulatory requirements to actions within the organization.
  • Manage compliance with relevant EU directives for CE declaration of Conformity.
  • Together with our US resources, manage product compliance with UL and CSA.
  • Create and maintain Technical Files, product checklists and methods to support CE and UL compliance.
  • Participate and support New Product Development Projects regarding product compliance.
  • Train, support and work together with a team of product Engineers to understand requirements from standards and directives.

Required education and experience:

  • BSc degree, electrical engineering, power electrical, electronics, automation or similar
  • Experience and knowledge of Low Voltage Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility directive and CE marking requirements for electrical products.
  • Experience and understanding of following standards; EN61000, EN55011, EN60204.
  • Knowledge of UL standards such as UL508 and UL61800-5-1 is an advantage.
  • Ability to understand complex technical and regulatory problems, consult with relevant stakeholders, and propose practical solutions for organization.
  • Interest in sustainability through efficient product design and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent Norwegian and English language skills
