We are now looking for a new waiter who will be a part of a front of house-team, providing top level-service in our beautiful historic room known as " Speilsalen".
The first Michelin star for Speilsalen came in February 2020, just 10 months after its opening. Since then, the restaurant has retained the star and garnered recognition and glowing reviews in both national and international media
As a waiter in Speilsalen, you will be working a four-day week, Wednesday to Saturday, and being off during most holidays when we are not open.
Job responsibilities
- Maintaining an understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, beverage pairings.
- Preparing the restaurant and mise en place for service, including folding napkins, polishing glasses, arranging and setting tables, wiping surfaces.
- Participating in service during opening hours (according to scheduele).
- Serving dishes in patterned syncronation with your colleagues, and clearing empty plates in a similar manner.
- Maintaining an overview of your tables, and communicating with chefs and waiters alike regarding when to serve the next dish/wine.
- Help creating a warm and stress-free atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English or Scandinavian language, both written and verbally.
- Solid experience in a high quality restaurant.
