Senior Legal Counsel - tax

Schibsted Media is now looking for a lawyer specialised in tax and VAT, to further strengthen our in-house legal team. The role provides a great opportunity for candidates that wish to develop their expertise within tax and VAT, in a fast-paced company with a clear societal purpose.

About the role

The role will cover a broad range of topics within the tax area, including;

• Monitor compliance with tax laws in our main jurisdictions (Norway and Sweden), with assistance from external lawyers to the extent necessary for country specific legislation

• Identify opportunities relating to tax optimisation and cost effectiveness

• Advice and support in transactions, restructuring and establishment of new businesses

• Advice in relation to tax reporting

• Communicate with tax authorities in connection with audits and other enquiries

• Assessment and documentation related to transfer pricing of intra-group transactions

• General advice within tax and VAT

Who we are looking for

Qualifications:

• Bachelor- or master’s degree in law, economics or related field

• 5+ years of experience with Norwegian and international tax, as well as VAT, from accounting, financial or tax advisory firms, law firms or in-house roles

• Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, as well as full professional proficiency in
