WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

Our BG G&T Quality Team consists of 5 highly competent and diverse members. Due to the unique engineering skills of our team, we are able to plan and execute assurance in our business group anywhere in the world. We are able to overcome environmental constraints and client requirements with our unique quality assurance expertise. The workplace is in Oslo and you will be reporting to the Continuous Improvement and Operations Excellence Officer. Our teams backlog of quality tasks is increasing therefore we are searching for a trainee to join our team.

GETTING A FLYING START

To succeed in Quality Assurance, you should have some education in the field of Quality. You may have experience or worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to electrification. You could have some working experience domestically in Norway or international experience within the same. Ideally, your experience is related to interconnectors, windfarms, or power from shore, but it is not a requirement. You will be interested in working with document management systems which is parts of how we ensure quality and safety during our project execution. As a person you are a natural in taking charge and working on your own initiative through your natural problem-solver mentality and pro-active inclination.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Our projects will rely on you as a technical team-player for our quality management systems. You will support the department in developing and updating process maps. You will assist in translating processes into easily understandable process flows in the company management system. In addition your work will entail integrating governing documents and. Maintaining other quality tools/system is also an important part; examples of this is; Synergi, EDM and Signavio. You may also participate in developing efficiencies and take part in technical improvements relevant to our department. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.

YOUR STARTING POINT

• BSc or MSc degree in the area of Quality Assurance
• 1 year of relevant experience. Experience with similar positions can compensate for formal education.
• In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a problem-solver who is capable of thinking outside the box.  
• Are you drawn to challenges? In our fast-paced environment, we are able to work at high speeds and meet short deadlines.  
• Nexans works in teams based on project execution, so being self-driven and being able to take charge of one's own tasks are of the utmost importance.   
• Fluent in English – oral and written. Norwegian is a plus.
