Product Safety Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Product Safety Lead in Kongsberg Maritime in our division Integration & Energy. With an extensive portfolio of innovative and integrated products and solutions, Kongsberg Maritime delivers efficiency, reliability, flexibility, and sustainable solutions to enhance the business and environmental impact of our customers.

You will, as our dedicated and proactive Product Safety Lead, support the organization in Integration & Energy and in Kongsberg Maritime to provide products and services that are safe for their intended purpose throughout the lifecycle.

Key accountabilities

• Provide product safety leadership in the Integration & Energy division
• Support product owners and solution architects in the product safety process
• Provide specialist guidance on common tool such as risk assessments risk evaluations, ALARP, Weibull, RAM, Markov and FMECA
• Work in close cooperation with the Functional Safety Team in Kongsberg Maritime

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or masters degree in the field of engineering
• Good knowledge of safety critical systems and software development of safety critical systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field, e.g., safety or maritime field
• Technical knowledge and understanding of product safety systems, standards, and tools (such as ISO 26262, FMECA, RAM, ALARP as well as risk evaluation and assessments)
• Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
