By joining our team in CFO you will have the opportunity to:

Support the Vice President for Accounting Policies on long term allocation, with tasks mainly related to IFRS Accounting Standards application across the company and financial reporting at the group level. You'll work as an IFRS expert, providing support and advice to a broad range of business areas, understanding legislation and updating corresponding guidance for the organisation, and enjoy a broad network of colleagues both within the Finance & Control function and across the broad Equinor organisation.

In this role you will also:

  • Engage with key stakeholders across the company to advice on accounting policies and application.
  • Share accounting expertise and assess the application of IFRS Accounting Standards to specific business cases.
  • Be a key resource in the assessment and conclusion of complex accounting issues at the group level and development of accounting policies for the group.
  • Contribute to the interim and annual reporting process, including related internal control procedures.
  • Participate in accounting and reporting projects.

  • A Master’s degree, in accounting, auditing or economics.
  • Previous experience of working in financial audit, control, accountancy or advice. You may have gained this experience working in a consultancy or a large company that is subject to IFRS.
  • Thorough knowledge of, and prvevious experience with, IFRS Accounting Standards.
  • Concise and effective communciation skills, both written and oral, to provide and document relevant accounting assessments and memos, and explain these to various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with the internal control framework and financial reporting risks.
