About the position:

As a Systems Engineer at Rheinmetall Nordic AS, you will be part of the engineering team responsible for the development of a functional systems that meets all requirements and is holistically balanced over its life cycle. Your core tasks are

  • Performing system-level analysis and specifying subsystem-level requirements while considering the overall system design
  • Logical/functional decomposition of the system into subsystems or assemblies
  • Act as our Safety Engineer which means applying standards (MIL-STD-882 / IEC 61508), creation and implementation of safety strategies, implementation of safety requirements and planning and coordination of V&V activites
  • Creation of system requirements for subsystems and assemblies and handover to suppliers and implementing domains (mechanical, electronics/cybernetics, software)
  • Coordination, monitoring and documentation over all system life-cycle stages within a project
  • Performing ILS analysis within the fields of reliability, maintainability, repair, special tools, test equipment etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating customer specialists and internal working groups reviews in order to provide actions and deliverables
  • Support and contribute to planning, control and reporting of time, cost, quality and risk management

 

Location:

Office location is Nøtterøy.

 

We believe this is you:

  • Completed technical university studies in the field of systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive, aerospace or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of systems engineering
  • Specific experience with safety engineering
  • Knowledge of procedures and methods according to INCOSE/GfSE or a comparable systems engineering approach desirable
  • Specific experience with ILS engineering is an advantage
  • Experience in the use of systems engineering tools (Doors and Rhapsody) is an advantage
  • Industry knowledge from the defence, automotive or aerospace industry is an advantage
  • You are a dedicated team player and structured in your everyday planning, execution and reporting of activities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally both nationally and internationally depending on the project
  • Willingness to accept a security clearance if needed
  • Open to attend on V&V activities in the field
