Engineering Manager, Power Electronics

We are strengthening our power electronics product line team, as we are creating a new generation of game-changing low voltage megawatt-class frequency converters. Our typical drive product is multi megawatt DC-distribution with several applications for the marine industry. We flavor the products with our game-changing protection concept. Our marine products are used on 150+ vessels with more than 4 GW installed power in total. Read more about what you would be working with here!

We are looking for an agile and collaborative person to join our organization in one of our locations in either Finland or Norway. Your main task is to lead our customer projects engineering team and their design activities. In your role you will ensure, together with other internal stakeholders, that we deliver on time. Delivery projects are based on our product platform, but we also do customer specific product variants.

Your area of responsibility consists of the coordination of different design areas, documentation, testing and certification related tasks. In addition, you have a good understanding of market requirements and relevant standards so that you can ensure product compliance. Your leadership will be key in building the foundation for our growth. The role can be adjusted based on the applicant’s background.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team
• Lead and plan delivery project engineering tasks
• Plan and ensure resourcing with own and external resources
• Ensure document deliveries on time
• Evolvement in type testing activities
• Co-operation with internal and external stakeholders

What we expect from you

• MSc in electrical engineering or other relevant field
• Leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and communication
• Knowledge of frequency converters and relevant product standards
• Ability to creatively plan, resource and visualize different work packages
• Good teamwork and communication skills in written and spoken English
• Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills

• Experience of power converter marine specific product standards

• Knowledge of lean principles
