Are you a risk maverick who thrives in the face of uncertainty?

This team leader role provides an exciting opportunity to combine leadership with hands-on project participation. If you have a background in technical safety, quantitative risk analysis, human factors analysis, or emergency preparedness or from other safety risk management work, then this role could be an ideal fit for you!

Our team has traditionally helped customers both in Norway and abroad to develop and operate safe solutions for oil and gas production, but we are currently in an energy transition phase where we are growing our expertise to newer and emerging areas such as hydrogen, CO2 safety, ammonia, offshore wind, and offshore fish-farming.

We are primary looking for someone located in Trondheim, but if you are located in Oslo and are willing to travel – Høvik can also be an option.

Key tasks:

  • Ensure an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations
  • Optimize business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, improvement of the utilization rate and an aligned workforce plan
  • Build and strengthen a strong internal culture based on company’s values
  • Ensure that employees have the required technical competences and own the pipeline for (technical) talent
  • Support the Head of Section in strategy and decision making, cultivate a growth mindset and support business development
  • Actively collaborate with corresponding role (s) to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities
  • We intend to develop the unit into broader client portfolios adding significant footprints in green technology sectors and have the ambition to grow the business/unit in a sustainable manner where the candidate we are looking for should play a key role

If you cannot perform all these tasks – that is ok! None of us can alone. But as a collaborative team we can. So, if you have some experience in a few of the key tasks, and you are a team player – this is the job for you.

Position qualifications:

  • Higher education (bachelor- or master’s degree, or equivalent)
  • For this position a background in safety risk management is of great benefit as the position will require you to also work in projects. If you have experience with the service portfolio and the energy sector that is also a plus
  • Preferably you have some experience with leadership, but we encourage people with relevant background and interest in the field to also apply
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English both written as well as verbally

Personal skills:

  • You have a strong commercial and consulting mindset and an ambition to develop leadership skills
  • You seek challenges and have a growth mindset
  • You are solution focused, have a positive attitude and (preferably) a good sense of humor
  • You are eager to learn and develop yourself, and willing to aide your colleagues in learning from you

WE OFFER:

  • Attractive rewards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 6 weeks annual vacation, subsidised canteen, competitive pension, insurance, and parental leave agreement, in addition to a global profit share scheme.
  • Work/life balance. We offer flexible working hours and workplaces, with a focus on work/life balance for our employees.
  • Supportive and caring culture. Our international culture embodies diverse colleagues who value teamwork and inclusion across business areas and borders. We offer opportunities for our employees to connect through social and professional networks.
  • Career and development. DNV offers extensive possibilities to grow and develop your competencies and career ambitions. We have a strong company culture with an emphasis on a growth mindset, knowledge sharing, and professional and personal development.
  • By joining DNV you become part of a world-leading company whose purpose is to safeguard life, property, and the environment. Our values “we care, we share, we dare” characterize how we work and behave towards each other and our customers.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis; we are looking forward to not only seeing your CV but also your motivational letter. Please register your CV and attachments electronically through our recruitment portal. The application should be submitted in English.
