Senior Engineer – Valve Packages

Engineering in Haugesund is looking to strengthen the team with a new Valve Package Engineer. You will play an important part as a responsible Package Engineer for several valve packages & equipment. With good knowledge in VDS development, you'll carry out work according to applicable procedures and work instructions.

About the position

Engineer your future with us! In this role, you’ll prepare and issue technical requisitions and data sheets, evaluate supplier quotations, and prepare bid comparisons. You’ll be the technical liaison between suppliers and our engineering disciplines, ensuring smooth collaboration. Your keen eye will be crucial in checking compliance with relevant regulations, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Join us and make an impact in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Review and commenting of supplier documentation
• Ensure that supplier's work is performed according to relevant instructions / procedures
• Identify and report any extra work related to changes in the scope of work
• Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests
• Perform inspections, witness testing and FAT of equipment packages when needed
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation

Qualifications

• A technical degree
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience within the oil & gas sector,
• Previous experience with mentioned equipment, package follow up, and multidisciplinary engineering
• Familiar with Equinor requirements, NORSOK and Norwegian acts and regulations
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English, Norwegian skills is an advantage.
