We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in the Advanced Marine Operations (AMO) department.

As a Senior Engineer in AMO, you will be working with exciting projects from planning to realization by combining the industry know-how and digital solutions with high-end dynamic simulations. You will be expected to manage technical activities, interface with customers, in addition to help developing products and solutions to meet a changing industry. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven and motivated with a collaborative personality and are willing to share their knowledge and experience.

AMO have historically been recognized as a world leading engineering and consultancy service provider within analysis of riser and umbilical systems, power cables and design and commissioning of riser integrity monitoring solutions. We also provide advisory services during marine operations supported by advanced dynamic simulations where the KONGSBERG DP-system is part of the numerical model. Our drilling department delivers high-end instrumentation and digital applications for real-time monitoring and on-line decision support tools for drilling operations, closely integrated with other KONGSBERG automation and control systems.

Offshore wind is an emerging business area with high focus within the business unit. We are strongly involved in developing new concepts for efficient installation of wind turbines including ancillary equipment like mooring lines and power cables. Essential for these development projects is the AMO capability of integrating KONGSBERG DP-, sensor solutions-, crane- and winch systems into our advanced structural & hydrodynamic simulation models – to document feasibility and proof of concept.

Key Accountabilities:
• Project Engineering – from planning to realization
• Support our projects with high focus on quality, profit and customer satisfaction
• Continue developing our renewable portfolio
• Modelling and simulation of dynamic systems
• Offshore work related to Marine Operations
• Data analytics and processing
• Tender preparation

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Fluent in English
• Analytical background
• Experience with Orcaflex (or similar) for dynamic structure analyses
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience
