Arnarlax is a leading Aquaculture company in Iceland and have its main operations in the Westfjords and its headquarters in Bíldudalur. The company is fully vertically integrated with all aspects of the value chain under its control, including juvenile production, farming, processing, and sales.

The Arnarlax team consists of around 180 dedicated and highly qualified people at all levels of our value chain. Arnarlax employs a select group of people of all genders and various nationalities and together we are a highly skilled team that supplies first-class farmed salmon to people all over the world.

We have operations in five different municipalities with offices in Bíldudalur, Patreksfjörður and Reykjavík and with smolt facilities in Tálknafjörður, Þorlákshöfn and Hallkelshólar.

Production manager in brief:

Our new Production manager will be the driving force in all seawater activities, and will be in charge of staff, fish-health, uptime in feeding, seawater daily routines, planning for smolt output, HSE within the seawater area and maintaining the Arnarlax standards. The Production manager will report on KPI`s on weekly and monthly basis.

The position will report to the COO- Biology and will beside of daily management of own staff interact a lot with the Feeding manager, Site managers, Technical manager, and the Biological controler.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Lead, motivate and develop the Arnarlax seawater team
Recruit, train new Site Manager`s
Planning for operations
Implementation and following up procedures for SW
Register and follow up deviations on sites
Planning for output, site cages and nets togehter with Site Managers
Cost saving activities
Planning and close supervison of production and projects
Follow up on service-boats
Weekly and monthly reports
Assist COO when needed
Plans and follow-up on HSEQ in the seawater section

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor or "certificate apprenticeship" in aquaculture or other relevant education
Extensive experience from fish farming in seawater
Proven track records of reaching targets and goals
Managerial experience from similar role
Certificate class B (Car)

Due to our international activities, excellent communication skills in English at a professional level, both written and verbal, is important.
