We're 23,000 colleagues in more than 30 countries delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. Taking on tough energy challenges is our job. Right now, we're facing an enormous task: supplying the world with the energy it needs, while lowering emissions.

We're up for the challenge. Are you?

The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:
  • Work as a key resource in our efforts to reshape the full solution landscape within commodity trading and risk.
  • Act as the interface between our global marketing and trading business and software development teams.
  • Collaborate with business experts and development teams to translate business cases based on expected outcomes more than specific requirements, into realisable concepts and working solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-disciplinary work groups to identify requirements and expectations; creating and maintaining documentation of decisions and solution concepts.
  • Communicate and ensure common understanding and alignment across internal and external stakeholders, in a complex solution and vendor landscape.
  • Work closely in or with development teams throughout the development process, including process design, testing and verification.

You

Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field. Experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Relevant experience as an IT Business Analyst, solving tasks and learning from each project.
  • Experience from relevant domains, such as: IT development, commodity trading, financial risk management, regulatory reporting, energy markets (gas & power & liquids), or software architecture.
  • Ability to work from abstractions and concepts down to realisable ideas resulting in functional software and business processes.
  • Interest in understanding business perspectives and how data can bring value and competitive advantage.
  • Initiative to work both alone and in a team, with the ability to coordinate others.
  • Curiosity and learning attitude, with an appetite for diving deep into both business processes and technical topics.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.

General information

Please attach copies of your CV, diplomas, certificates and grades in English or a Scandinavian language.

Applications submitted without necessary attachments will unfortunately not be evaluated.
If you are in the process of completing a degree, please upload an official temporary transcript or other document describing subjects and grades completed to this point.

Candidates are expected to openly offer all relevant information about themselves during the recruitment process. Candidates will be asked for information on affiliation to high-risk countries for a security assessment. Furthermore, background checks are performed on all final candidates and all permanent and temporary hires will be screened against relevant sanctions lists to ensure compliance with sanctions law.
