Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Telecom Senior Engineer oil and gas 26397.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work as a discipline lead in a study for detail engineering in an offshore greenfield / brownfield project within the telecom discipline.
The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment. The study will if approved continue into an EPC project.

Job responsibilities:
-  Telecom lead and responsible for Telecom deliverables in study
-  Participating in development of telecom design solutions for telecom sub systems, remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies to required level in a study.
-  Follow up telecom vendors.
-  Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
-  Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for the Telecom discipline
-  Define engineering documents. 

Your experience and qualifications:
-  Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
-  Ex course (max 5 years old)
-  FSE course
-  Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
-  Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
-  Experience from Telecom system design in Study phases or FEED or other relevant experience. 
-  Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
-  Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
-  Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
-  A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
-  Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
-  Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
-  Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
-  Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
-  Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
