We are looking for an experienced Project/Product Manager

We are seeking a committed, forward-leaning, and ambitious Product/Project Manager to lead the development, industrialization planning and execution of Battery Energy Storage product strategy for Morrow Batteries. This includes the setup and lead of our BESS project, including the management of involved 3rd parties from development until SOP. The BESS Product/Project Manager will be fully responsible for project budget, reaching the aligned milestones and leading the entire project team. Part of BESS project are different development functions as well as the product industrialization like building, infrastructure, and production equipment.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• You will take over the management of the project and be responsible for the successful technical, scheduling, and commercial handling of the project.
• In this role, you will also lead the global project team in close coordination with the specialist departments involved.
• You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring, as well as reporting on project goals (budget vs. costs, as well as adherence to agreed project milestones)
• Reports out to the leadership team on a regular basis.
• Leads the business review process and ensures each function meets the deliverables and requirements defined in the applicable processes.
• Supporting the development of this new product.
• Accountable for successful development, competitiveness, and commercialization of BESS project
• The product manager demonstrates accountability for functional business and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues with functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
• Responsible for development and execution of a detailed cross functional execution plan that leads to success on all product CTQs as specified in the Product Requirements Document.
• Understands industry trends, customer needs & growth opportunities for battery energy storage products.
• Determine solutions using customer and market feedback to produce lifecycle strategies and develop value propositions.
• Understand and implement cost management strategies. Own achieving the cost position for the product in the target regions.
• Works with the commercial team, marketing, and regional leaders to successfully commercialize the product in the target regions.

Education & Experience

• Based on a successfully completed technical degree, preferably in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable education with a good technical understanding, you ideally have already years of experience in sales of batteries in the mobility sector.
• Master’s degree in engineering or business administration is preferred.

Specific Skills & Abilities

• Experience in leading product management, product marketing and/or technical development, for Battery Energy Storage Systems or related environment.
• Experience in interacting with senior management and leading large teams in multiple locations.
• Analytical skill set & strategic min-set, ability to quickly move from details to the holistic view and vice versa.
• Self-directed, collaborative team player with interpersonal communication, & presentation skills
• Confident with executive presentations, ability to communicate with colleagues & customers at all levels.
• Commercially savvy, ability to translate customer needs into product offerings.
• Natural leader with track record “of getting things done.”
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of influencing and driving a strategic agenda.
• Strong oral & written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the disciplines and inter-relationship between product management and supply chain, engineering/technology, and related functions, costing systems, financial reporting measures.
• Previous experience in product/project management practices and activities, combined with strong customer knowledge and commercial awareness.
• Strategically aware, coupled with tactical implementation experience. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and explain critical issues.
• Familiar with LEAN principles and a track record of implementation is preferred.
• Comfortable operating in a matrix environment with strong relationship building capability, able to work effectively across functions.
• Willingness to travel in Europe
• Confident knowledge of English, and knowledge in German is a plus.
