About the roleWe are searching for a seasoned leader to step into the essential role of Head of Tax for the Nordic region. As the overseer of tax functions in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, your legal expertise and financial acumen will be pivotal in managing tax activities and guaranteeing compliance within a complex regulatory atmosphere.Want to hear more? - Providing expert legal insights and guidance on tax matters in the Nordic countries, ensuring compliance with the latest tax regulations and accurate tax return preparation
- Actively engaging with stakeholders, from auditors to regulators and executive management, fostering effective communication and collaboration to align on tax strategies and compliance efforts
- Leading strategic tax initiatives and promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork within the organization to navigate the intricate tax landscape across the Nordic region
- Managing ongoing tax and duty-related tasks, including reporting to tax authorities, handling appeals, audits, and disputes
- Supervising tax matters and estimation calculations across the Nordic countries, guaranteeing compliance with tax and VAT obligations
- Ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations and delivering internal tax reports to pertinent parties
- Leading development projects and proactively developing your team to tackle forthcoming tax challenges with expertise and strategic initiatives
When evaluation candidates, we will emphasize the following experience, traits, and qualifications:
- Master of Jurisprudence with strong academic results and specialization in tax law, or MS in auditing and accounting preferably with additional expertise in tax law
- Experience from a law firm, in-house tax environment or tax audits
- Good business understanding, and preferably experience from the financial industry
- Proactive, analytical, and self-motivated
- Hands-on and can-do attitude with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate complicated issues in a clear and precise manner
- Good presentation skills, both in Norwegian and English
