Are you our new Senior Completion Engineer?

Well Expertise (WE) is the leading Well Management Company on the Norwegian Continental shelf. Our vision is to be the preferred partner for all small and medium sized E&P companies. We are located at Randaberg, just outside Stavanger, in excellent office facilities. We have a very dynamic and good working environment with a mixture of young and more experienced people from several countries. 

WE is currently involved in the execution and planning of several projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf on behalf of our clients and is therefore looking to strengthening our team with an ambitious Senior Completion Engineer.

As a Senior Completion Engineer in our Company, you will be part of a planning- and execution team consisting of highly qualified professionals that work in a dynamic environment both at our client’s locations and at our own offices at Randaberg. 

The objective of the role:

Perform completion technical engineering work in all phases of the well projects in close collaboration with rest of WE/Client team and Rig Contractor, to ascertain safe and efficient operations. The position reports to COO organizationally and to Project Manager/ Drilling Superintendent in the projects.

Experience with Multi-Lateral Wells and well interventions is viewed as an advantage.

The position holder will demonstrate strong commitment to the HSEQ and quality standards within Well Expertise and our clients plus Norwegian rules and regulations.

Responsibilities and work tasks:

• Provide accurate and timely D&W engineering deliveries to facilitate safe and reliable operations
• Feasibility reports of drilling options (exploration, appraisal and in?ll wells and projects).
• Concept Select report including Long Lead Items requirements
• Basis of Design documents for tubing stress/tubing design, ?uids, material evaluations etc.
• Develop and manage Risk Register for the completion activities.
• Seek and implement lessons from suppliers and other network
• Ensure continuous improvement during planning and operations
• Completion Programs
• Input to AFE budget
• Support ongoing operations, onshore and offshore
• Participate in relevant morning calls and DOP/Risk meetings
• Participate in drilling engineering duty work, onshore and offshore, if/when applicable
• Prepare well handover documentation
• Final well report

Quali?cations

• Minimum Bachlor. degree or similar in scientific subjects. MSc degree is an advantage
• Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in completion and well intervention operations
• Experience with completion software packages such as Oliasoft, WellCat, Completion String Design, Prosper and Torque and Drag
• Must have a permanent working permit and residence permit for Norway

• Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and make well informed decisions using available data
• Continuously searching for improvements
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of the Norwegian language is an advantage, but not a requirement
